Republican Senate Chief Mitch McConnell abruptly froze whereas giving remarks at a press convention Wednesday and needed to be escorted away.
For about 20 seconds, McConnell, 81, appeared unable to talk. Different senators approached him, and one walked away with him.
He returned to the rostrum moments later and stated, ”I’m fine,” when requested about what occurred earlier. He continued to take questions from reporters.
An aide told CNN that McConnell “felt mild headed and stepped away for a second.” The aide added that McConnell returned to “deal with Q and A, which as everybody noticed was sharp.”
On the finish of the press convention, the senator chuckled and walked away when requested about whether or not he had anybody in thoughts to exchange him as Senate minority chief.
McConnell suffered a situation in March after tripping at a dinner. He returned to the Capitol nearly six weeks later after being handled at a rehabilitation facility and recovering at house.
